We are proud to bring to you the world's largest collection of original, vintage photochroms, comprising over 1,300 different images of United States, Canada, Mexico and Cuba. These historic, vintage photographs were created by the Detroit Photographic Company over 100 years ago, with William Henry Jackson being the principal photographer.
What Is A Photochrom?
Photochrom prints are colorized images produced from black-and-white photographic negatives via the direct photographic transfer of a negative onto lithographic printing plates. The process is properly considered a photographic variant of chromolithography, a broader term referring to color lithography in general.
